I am answering question number 2.
ReplyDeleteI think that the sun is the most important level of the energy food pyramid, because the sun has to give energy to the producers, so they can make energy to the herbivores, so they can give energy to the carnivores, so they can give energy to the scavengers, so they can give energy to the decomposes. The sun also has some cons, but it by far has to give the energy to all the other animals so that they can live.
In my opinion the sun is the sun is the most important part of the energy pyramid because it is what helps grow the producers. If we didn’t have a sun, then that would mean the plants couldn’t produce energy for the herbivores and the herbivores wouldn’t supply energy for the carnivores. Eventually the animals would all die out and the scavengers would end up being a huge population from eating all the remains. So if we didn’t have a sun the transfer of energy would no longer exist because the sun is the start of all energy pyramids.
ReplyDelete2) I think that the sun was the most important part in the pyramid because they are the first ones to give the energy on to the producers. If we didn’t have the sun then the food chains wouldn't start and the herbivores and the carnivores could not eat with out the sun giving energy to the plants. The sun will give the producers the energy to grow and then when the herbivores want to eat then they will get the energy from the plant so then they can live until the carnivores what to eat them so they can get the energy they want, then the death and decay with start the rotation of energy over again. Some of the new plants will get more energy too.
ReplyDeleteQuestion #1. If I were in the energy pyramid I would want to be the sun because I would be able to give energy and vitamins to everything on earth. A bad thing about being the sun is one day I will explode and destroy everything and turn into a black hole.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion the sun is the most important part of the food chain. The sun is the most important because it is where everything starts. The sun would give energy to a plant, then the plant would get eaten by an omnivore, then the omnivore would be eaten by a carnivor. Energy is the start of everything, it moves up through the food pyramid and helps everything live and survive.
ReplyDeleteEmmett Myers
I think that the sun is the most important part of the energy pyramid for several reasons. The first reason I think the sun is so important is that without the sun there is no plants, without plants there is no herbivores, without herbivores their is no carnivores, and finally without carnivores their is no scavengers or life. Another thing is that their is no start of energy without the energy coming from the sun. The sun starts the transfer of energy that will give food to everything. Even though the sun isn’t the only thing that plants need I personally think it is the most important. This is why I think the sun is the most important level in a food chain.
ReplyDeleteAll of the levels in the energy pyramid are important, but I think that the sun plays the most important role. I think this because the sun starts the energy in an energy pyramid. Then the producers us 90% of that energy and 10% is used to grow. If the sun was not a part then nothing can live. We all get energy from the sun.
ReplyDelete2) In my opinion, I believe that the producers are the most important part of food chains and food webs. Plants make their own food from the sun in the process of photosynthesis. This process forms a sweet substance called glucose which is the plant’s source of energy. After this energy is used for the plant to survive, the extra energy is used for growth. When a herbivore gets hungry, it comes along and eats the plant, taking all of the plant’s growth energy. The herbivore then uses this energy to stay alive and the extra energy is used for growth. Then the herbivore is eaten and the energy is taken from it. This happens all the way up the food chain or web, so producers are starting the whole process of energy flow. The energy that is used for herbivores, top predators, scavengers, and even decomposers, come from producers. The producers have to work hard though to get all the energy to the top of the food pyramid. Only a tenth of the energy is passed up the food pyramid each time the energy moves up a level so the producers are always hard at work.
ReplyDelete2) I believe that the sun is the most important level of the energy pyramid, because it gives energy to producers which gives energy to herbivores and so on. Without the sun the energy pyramid would not exist anymore. There would be no energy to give off to producers and no energy to give to herbivores. The sun is very important part of the energy pyramid, and now you know why.
ReplyDelete2) I think the most important part of the pyramid is the producer because the producer helps the consumers by feeding them and giving the energy toward the consumer that eats it. The producer also helps itself by making it’s own food to survive. It also receives energy from the sun. The sun helps and gives the producer energy to produce it’s own food. The producer also helps the biosphere by making the environment healthy for consumers to be living in the area.
ReplyDeleteWhat I learned is the energy pyramid it like I think it is its shape like a pyramid like a food web and a food chain. For exsample, so a fox eats like a mouse and a fox and it shapes like a pyramid.
ReplyDeleteWhat the most important part is that I think is the sun. Because it produces the energy that the plants need then if the plant doesn’t get the food that it needs so the herbivore doesn't get the food that it needs so then the carnivore doesn't get the food that it needs so everything dies of.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion I think the most important level of the energy pyramid is the sun. I think the sun is the most important because that is the start of the energy, it’s what gets the food chain/web going. Without the sun the plants would get no energy, then the herbivores would get no energy from the plants, then the carnivores would get no energy from the herbivores, then the scavengers would get energy for awhile since there is so much stuff dead, but that would run out and the scavengers will die. The sun is where the energy starts, without the sun the energy does not start. The sun has the most energy but it is lost as it moves up the food chain/web. All and all the sun is the energy and without it nothing would survive.
ReplyDeleteLauren N.
I would want to have the sun’s job. I would want this job because all you have to do is give energy to the producers. The energy goes from the sun to the producers. One negative thing is that all you have to do is give energy to the producers and thats it.
ReplyDeleteBlock 3
If I were apart of a food pyramid I would want to be a carnivore. The carnivore is very important to me because it eats meat. Also because it can supply food to a scavenger. Carnivores also provide energy for the scavengers, but very little.
ReplyDelete2. I think that the most important level of the food pyramid is the sun level. The sun is the most important because it makes energy rays for the producers to make food for themselves. Then, the herbivores eat the plant and get energy and the carnivores eat them and then they die and the scavengers eat them. So the scavengers or carnivores wouldn’t get much food for themselves without the sun. When the plant is mad, it gets energy from the sun, then herbivore eats the plants, then the energy from the plant goes to the herbivore but smaller than what the plant got. When the carnivore eats the herbivore it gets a little bit of the plant’s energy then some of the herbivore’s energy. When the carnivore dies the scavengers gets a little bit of the herbivores energy and some of the carnivore’s energy. But he only gets 1/10 of the plants energy.
ReplyDeleteIf I was a part of a real energy pyramid I would want my job to be the sun. The sun is very important to every organism. The sun is constantly working. The sun works all day and rests at night.Without the sun nothing would be alive because everything needs energy and so if one thing doesn’t have energy from the sun nothing else will get energy and then there wouldn’t be anything alive on the earth. One good thing about the sun is that it is working all the time so it always has something to do and it is energy so it doesn’t need energy from anything else to produce energy for something else. One bad thing about the sun is that you would be constantly doing the same thing every single day of your life and that would get really boring after a while. The sun is the main part of the energy flow for a food chain or food web. It is where the producers get energy to give to the consumers which will give energy to the herbivores which will give the carnivores energy for the scavengers.
ReplyDeleteDear Mrs. Blake and my classmates,
ReplyDeleteI think the most important thing I learned about the energy pyramid is how in a food web and food chain energy moves throughout the cycle. I think this is the most important thing because I got the feeling of when in real life energy moves through the cycle. For example, when the sun was franticly counting out ten beans for the producers to produce the plant. Another example is when only one in ten beans could be placed in the growth cup. The reason you can only put one in ten beans in the growth cup is because the beans have to get as much food and energy as they can. In all, I think the most important thing I learned about the energy pyramid is how in a food web and food chain energy moves throughout the cycle.

1) The job I would of wanted was the producers because it would be interesting to work as hard as the suns but in a different way. Like the suns the producers play an important role they have everything connected to them animals, people, and food sources they also keep us alive we breath in oxygen and then breath out carbon dioxide and the plants take in ( or breath) carbon dioxide and ( breath) or produce oxygen. The sun job was ok even knowing it was important it was really boring counting and handin and counting and handing ( the list would go on and on and on and on). But to me it looked way better not that I didn’t like being a sun.
ReplyDelete2) The most important job is the sun ( which I was I’m not saying this because I was in it ) without the sun we (humans) , animals , and plants would have no source of life the plants would be dead the animals would die we (humans) would have no air and no food and would die in a snap! No questions asked.
3) The most important thing I have learned is everything needs the energy pyramid without it we would have nothing no food no water and nothing would live and for a little fun fact I learned we can switch the energy pyramid but it would work horribly and nothing would really work and try to image grass eating a deer freaky!

1. If I could have any job in the energy pyramid I would probably have the job that I had when we did the activity which was the producer. Because we didn't have to sit around and wait for more beans because the suns just kept counting and giving us more beans. The job i had as the producer was important because we had to pass the beans on and we were just at the bottom of the pyramid and our energy had to be passed on all the way up the food chain. The negative thing about my job was that we couldn't stop working because the people in front of us depended on us.

If I could choose what part I would be in the food chain, I would be the apex predator. I would be this predator because I wouldn't get eaten by another animal whereas I would be the top of the food chain. Also, I would have lots of food to eat if I was a good hunter and if there was a lot of prey- herbivores.
ReplyDeleteOne bad thing about being the apex predator has to do with energy transfer. The plant uses 90% of the energy it gets from the sun so now the plant has 10% left over. Then the herbivore eats the plant and from its movement it consumes 90% of that energy from the plant so now it has 1% of the energy left from the suns power. Next, the apex predator eats the herbivore and gets 10% of that energy which is 0.1% which means it doesn’t have much energy from the sun.
Another bad thing about being the predator, is that if all the herbivores died or their numbers were low, the predators would die because they wouldn’t have anything to eat. Then the grass and plants would die. They would have a lot of food but for a short amount of time. Then the plants would die because the nutrients would be in the dirt at first but then not any more.
My job as a predator would be important because if I was not alive the decomposers wouldn't have a purpose- breaking up dead things and putting them into the soil as nutrients. Then the plants would use up all the energy and nutrients from the soil because the decomposers didn't have anything to break up. There would be dead consumers all over and dead plants because they died because of the bad soil. Finally, the herbivores would die because the plants were dead and the whole world will die except the sun. This shows that the predator is a very important part of the food chain because of how everything depends on each other and the sun and its energy.
2) The Sun is the most important thing in the food pyramid. It i most Important because it is the start of every food chain and web that exists. it is also the most important because without it, no life on said planet would exist!
ReplyDelete1.If I got to choose my part of a food chain I would want to be a scavenger because I wouldnt have to do much and the only way I would really die was if I got a dsize or from death.I would also like to be a scavenger because I wouldnt have to waste my energy on hunting or stalking. But there still is something that is negative and that is that during winter some of the animals that I would use to get leftover food from and they could be hibernating so they wouldn't kill as much and then I could die of starvation.
ReplyDelete2) I think the most important part in the energy pyramid is the sun. If we did not have the sun all of the plants or producers would never get the energy they need to live and grow. After that they would most likely die out along with the rest of the energy pyramid. This is why I think the most important part of the food chain is the sun.
ReplyDelete2) I think that the bottom level is very important. The sun is the most important, because the sun helps make plant and with out the plant the herbivores would have nothing to eat and the animals that eat the herbivores would not have anything to eat and the animals that scavenger for the dead carouses would not have anything to eat, there for would be no existence. That is why I think that the Bottom lavel is the most important.
ReplyDeleteWhat I think is the most important level of the energy pyramid are the Producers. I think the producers are the most important because no other thing can take in the sunlight to make it energy. When you look at the energy pyramid and to start to spread out the energy. That is why I think the Producers are the most important level in the Energy Pyramid.
ReplyDeleteJack S.
3. Doing energy pyramids I learned that the most important thing is, the sun gives light for the producers to make food. I think this because the suns start the system off by giving sunlight. I can prove this because during the bean activity, the suns handed ten beans to the producers, and the producers would keep handing up the growth cup with ten beans in it to the Herbivores, and so on. Over all, I believe that the sun is the most important part in an energy pyramids.
ReplyDeleteThe most important spot in the Energy Pyramid is the grass. I think this because the beginning of every food web or food chain begins with the plant because without the grass, there would be no food for the insects, there for no food for the rabbits, then no food for fox/coyote. So if the beginning of the Energy Pyramid is taken out, then there will be no food for the upper organisms.
ReplyDeleteI think the sun is the most important thing in the energy pyramid because the sun is the thing that helps other things survive. Only because, Without the sun there would probably be no energy pyramid and the pyramid would not be called the energy pyramid. Because there would be no energy to start anything. Also without the sun, the plants would not be able to make their own food or help omnivores or herbivores to survive. The sun does not just sit around all day giving us light and being lazy but it produces energy for all of us to be able to live. For example if we didn't have energy from the sun then we wouldn't really be able to turn on are light. Also not be able to have food for us to eat because all the animals would be dying with death and decay or just by being a prey to a predator. So that would make us eventually extinct because there wouldn't have been energy from the sun to feed everything else.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion the most important thing in the energy pyramid is that every time an organism dies the energy flows on and everytime it happens it will just keep flowing on and its starts with the sun to a plant and then carries on to organism after organism until the largest organism comes along and the energy stops right there. And then after that it starts over and the sun has to keep planting all the plants so that the pyramid will keep going and going.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion the most important level of the pyramid is the decomposing. Why I think this is because all of the things get released back to the world to happen again so life can go on. Like in the carbon cycle once everything is decomposed it all of it gets released back into the air to happen again.
ReplyDeleteIf I had to choose one energy resource to power my entire town I would choose hydroelectric power for these 2 reasons. The first reason is that it is very reliable. It always works even in winter because the water doesn’t freeze all the way through. The second reason is that it will give us electricity for many years to come. Unlike coal or other fossil fuels that will eventually run out their will always be running water. Even though their are many plus sides to hydroelectric power there are also some bad sides. The biggest flaw is the price of the dam which will set my city back for a while it is worth it for not needing to constantly spend money on the resources. Those are the reasons that I would choose hydroelectric power.
